I guess that almost all of you have an idea about what is a Touch Tablet PC but sometimes those concepts should explain better and believe that the best way to describe a touchscreen Tablet PC is comparing it to portable devices, the device used as the basis to build on this niche gadget.
Why is a niche gadget? Firstly, because it is not something everyone could use or pay more in a laptop/netbook regular. Basically a portable Tablet is a more expensive laptop that adds touch screen for user input capabilities. But now we are going to take this matter in detail and compare a laptop computer and a screen touch Tablet PC with the same specifications as they were built by the same manufacturer and the only difference comes from the part of touch screen.
Main differences between a portable Activator touch and a normal laptop:
Screen: it is thicker on a Tablet PC due to the additional layer (capacitive or resistive) and the electronics that control it and determine the user entry location accurately. In addition the screen can be rotated 180 degrees to allow for a more comfortable use doubled on the keyboard
Pencil: a touch Tablet offers a pretty big screen, but the user's precise actions need a stylus, especially in applications such as Adobe Photoshop
Battery life: s touch screen Tablethave more components of other laptops (touch allowing the layer on the screen for example) energy consumption is slightly higher on normal laptops so expect more short-lived battery away from the socket
Software: it is perhaps the largest difference, as without the appropriate software and programs make good use of the capabilities of a Tablet PC touch not much to do with one. This is also what lack of Tablet PCs now but perhaps the manufacturers shall understand this try and offer customized applications for touch input.
