If the rumors are true, the Samsung Galaxy Note has an official US release date and price for AT&T. The LTE-enabled tablet-like smartphone will be available on store shelves on Feburary 18 for $299.99.
Samsung unveiled the American version of the smartphone at the 2012 Consumers Electronic Show in Las Vegas earlier this month. The Galaxy Note was one of the most talked about tablets at CES for various reasons, including its odd size that straddles the line between smartphone and tablet. It has a 5.3-inch display and features a crisp Super AMOLED screen with a 1200 x 800 resolution. It will ship with Android Gingerbread (2.3). The smartphone/tablet will have 1GB of RAM and will have a 1.4GHz dual-core processor. The Galaxy Note will also run on AT&T’s 4G LTE network.
Customers will get 16GB of internal memory, with a chance to add up to 32GB with a microSD card, 8MP rear-, and 2MP front-facing camera.
The defining feature of the Samsung Galaxy Note is its stylus, dubbed the S Pen. The S Pen has 256-points of pressure sensitivity for note taking and picture doodling, as well as device navigation.
