When the first computers were invented, it took all rooms and had basic screens and input/output capabilities. Over time, the teams are not only a powerful device multimedia and data processing, but also slowly been reduced in size. The last step in the evolution of computers is tablet pc. This practical gadget includes most of the functionality and power of a desktop or laptop, with the size and less weight than a standard magazine.

With the increase in mobile Internet speeds came a desire to have a team that was easy to carry and use on the fly. While netbooks fills that void very well, there were people who wanted to comfort in a more portable and easy to use format. This was the beginning of the Tablet computer technologies. Using a touchscreen interface, there is no need for a keyboard or a mouse. Internal WiFi or cellular modems handled any internet and network access needs and allow the footprint of the Tablet to be even lower. Eliminating any hinges or accessories required, the resulting product was a flat and lightweight device able to handle the needs of the majority of users of the computer.

It wasn't much to big names in the world of technology for entry of products to the market. Currently, there is a complete line of Tablet PCs of Motorola, Apple, Samsung, Toshiba, ASUS, and RIM with similar features and functionality. While features and specifications may vary between models and enterprises, the Tablets have displays ranging from seven to 10.1 inches and display resolutions around 1280 by 800 pixels. Most have that range from three to eight megapixels and cameras are able to record video in high definition to frame rates soft. When it comes to storing your apps, music, movies and personal data, the range of 16 GB to 64 GB storage capacities, although greater information storage capacity often come with a premium price tag.

The real factor for the majority of Tablets decide is the operating system running on the Tablet. If you have a Smartphone, this is a familiar dilemma. Currently, Apple iPad and iPad 2 run iOS, the Motorola Xoom and Samsung Galaxy Tab running Android OS 3.0 Honeycomb and BlackBerry Playbook running a specialized operating system designed by RIM. These all have similar interfaces, however through the use of OS the company will be limited to their choice of accessories and applications.
