Those using OnLive Desktop have been experiencing a Windows 7-PC on their iPad that included Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Now, users have a chance to use Internet Explorer on their iPad for a monthly fee.

For $5 a month, OnLive Desktop users can open up Internet Explorer on the app and browse freely, including the use of Flash and other features including Dropbox, Gmail, and Google Docs. The service, dubbed OnLive Desktop Plus, gives customers a chance to stay inside OnLive’s Windows 7 environment all while accessing cloud-based files and documents.

OnLive Desktop was released in January. It was free and had limitations that were addressed in the latest update. The app itself is simple to use and it comes with 2GB of cloud storage. A $10 a month “Pro” account is in the works that will give users up to 50GB of cloud storage and the opportunity to add additional Windows applications to the desktop.
